Free Relationship Compatibility Reports: Helpful or Hype?

Free relationship compatibility reports are all over the web, and for many, they provide a valuable way to gauge the longevity of a relationship. However, can you actually use a free relationship compatibility test to determine (1) if your relationship has a future and (2) if that future's going to be moderately enjoyable? There are a few underlying issues here, so let's touch on them now. Relationships in general are built on a few keystones that make them click.

The first one, naturally, is physical attraction. Couples rarely get together if they don't at least find something moderately enticing about one another or if a physical attraction doesn't emerge after they get to know each other. Second up is chemistry. Couples interact in a positive way by sharing similar humor, mutual interests, and emotional support, and lasting chemistry is built on these keys. And knowing if you share these keys by instinct (or even by taking a free relationship compatibility test) can help you predict if your relationship will last.

However, a test isn't going to tell you if your boyfriend is going to drive out in the rain to pick up tampons for you. Or, if after years of living together in marital bliss, your husband will end up cheating on you with a co-worker. The message here? People and relationships are complicated and it takes more than a compatibility test to configure the momentum and permanence of any relationship. The final consensus? Free relationship compatibility tests are helpful, but take them with a grain of salt.
