Weight Loss Tip – Don’t Eat With Your Emotions
November 28, 2011 | Leave a Comment
Food is a critical, must-have source of nourishment and energy. Without food we would not be able to perform our daily activities. Our muscles would wither, our nervous system and brains would fail. Whether we like it or not: We all need food.
What you might not know though, is that food has another important role in our lives: Comfort and entertainment. Culturally and instinctively we prepare and serve foods to comfort those who have experienced loss, to celebrate joy, or to show friendship and love. And that’s where emotional eating can cause many problems.

Emotions – How to Stop Them From Running My Life?
November 24, 2011 | Leave a Comment
Emotions run in the basement of the brain. To rise above these primitive and petty masks that overshadow your being, you need to operate from a different center. If the basement is flooded, seek shelter on a higher floor. The water may rise, but so can you!
We can never escape emotions altogether, and shouldn’t expect to as they serve as self-correcting blinders in the navigation of unknown circumstances. Life without emotions (both positive and negative ones) is meaningless.
Emotions
Classification of Emotions
The dualistic nature of the mind gives rise to differentiation, most commonly embraced as the classic struggle between good (the positive, the desirable, life enhancing, pleasure seeking) and evil (the negative, the undesirable, life destructing, pain seeking).

Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia)
April 28, 2010 | Leave a Comment
It's not uncommon to have a social anxiety disorder. In fact, approximately one in every ten people suffers from it at one point or another. Some suffer from the disorder when they experience any kind of social situations, while some only suffer from it during certain social situations, such as presenting at an event, speaking in public, or when performing in front of an audience. The anxiety and fears that overcome suffers are very real and substantive, even though non-sufferers may dismiss them as being unreasonable. Overcoming social anxiety is crucial because if unchecked and untreated, it could lead to a more severe social anxiety disorder which can even greatly interfere with your daily life and it may lead to needing professional psychiatric help.

Types of Ego (Aham)
March 29, 2009 | Leave a Comment
We will discuss various kinds of ego in this article. There are two broad types of ego; The Lord’s ego and the man’s ego.
The Lord’s ego
This is a state of no ego, i.e. the ego of the person is literally 0. This state is found in Saints of 100% spiritual level when They are in a completely thoughtless state, merged with God. Hence all tasks that happen through such a person are mere acts (kriyaa) not actions (karma) as they happen totally as per God’s wish. The hallmark of such Saints is their perpetual state of Bliss even in the face of extreme adversity in Their worldly lives.

The accolades and gratitude and respect that the crew have received are well earned. And there is a real lesson for all of us as we go about the business of our lives

February 13, 2009 | Leave a Comment
You have an empowered inner knowingness within you that will always lead you in the direction of your goals, dreams and desires. It is the voice of your intuition, your gut instinct, your inspiration, your Inner Wizard. You have another voice within you, your Inner Critic. Whichever voice is empowered creates your life experience. If it is your Inner Wizard, life is good. If it is your Inner Critic, life is a struggle. Who’s got your power?

Have you ever noticed someone’s body language that communicated something contrary to what they were saying? Have you ever had a hunch that turned out to be right?

Mathematical Formula to Success
December 27, 2008 | Leave a Comment
How negative situations should and can always be turned into something positive… and the mathematical proof of it!
Have you ever wondered what use you were ever going to make of learning how to solve mathematical equations? I think we all have to admit that most of us don’t tend to use that knowledge on a daily basis… mmmm…
What if we did? What if we used it in a very natural and practical way that doesn’t actually involve a pencil and an eraser and little numbers on a piece of paper? I remember learning the basic rule that would solve all the equations: + and + equals +, + and – equals – and, – and – equals +. You remember? We could equate this to the three categories of people found in life.
